My First Blog Post

Hey I’m Bo. This is my first time blogging. I’m just getting this new blog going, I will be blogging about all music entertainment. The good, the bad, the messy, the up-comings, you name it. Stay tuned and be apart of the conversation.

See who’s acting on and offset

From the Stu to the studios. Who knew Mr “Rain Drop, Drop Top” Offset had talent onset. Apart of the hip hop/trap trio along with his cousins Quavo and Takeoff the Migos have done great things since their 2013 breakout year when they released Versace. But Mr. Cephus (Offset) wanted to take it a step further getting into the tv spotlight with his debut on NCIS: Los Angeles. According to cheatsheet.com “About midway through the episode, Offset appeared on the screen as Kadri (an undercover cia agent) and took off running, hopping over a fence, and outwitting Callen and Sam.” That was just the intro. All his stunts were done by him as well which just makes the show much better. Keep it up Offset looking forward to seeing more of you onset.

The not so Lil Baby

https://www.newsbreak.com/georgia/atlanta/news/0OJlENaA/album-review-lil-baby-shows-pride-for-his-background-on-new-album-my-turn

Dominique Armani Jones or as you may know him by Lil Baby has let the streets know who’s turn it is in the music industry. Attention came to the Atlanta rapper in 2017 after releasing his Perfect Timing mixtape. His new album My Turn has fans going crazy from the features with Lil Wayne, Gunna, MoneyBagg Yo and more to the lyricism from baby himself. I feel that baby doesn’t switch it up much even some of the beats sound the same after awhile. From prison to fame bottom to the top in no times and it doesn’t look like he going to slow down any time soon.

Black History PTSD

February 28th 2020 a little more PTSD was given to the world. Herbert Randall Wright lll better known as Lil herb/G Herbo has dropped another album. To me personally G Herbo went back into his lil herb bag for this album. I’m talking about “Welcome to Fazoland” herb with tracks like “High Speed” listening to the story of the rappers final high speed how fearful and confused he was. A lot of people don’t like the 24 year old’s fifth studio album however there were a nice amount of negative comments coming from the users of “albumoftheyear.org.” Something else I enjoy about the album is the strong feature presence from Juice Wrld, lil uzi vert, 21 savage, a boogie and more. The list continues with other great artists and herb continues to not care what the haters have to say keep dropping Chicago classics.

TMZ Killers?

So I was on social media scrolling down my Twitter news feed and saw a post saying “Damn TMZ always the first to post when somebody dies I’m starting to think they the killer.” I laughed at first but came to realize how true and untrue this statement was. Wednesday February 19 Mr. Woo himself the 20 year old New York rapper Pop Smoke was shot and killed inside his home in Hollywood hills during what is said to be a home invasion. According to TMZ the 2 men that broke into the home fired multiple shots striking and critically wounding the rapper. TMZ launched in 2005 and has been telling the juiciest ever since. Are they the killers? or are they just that good?

Underrated Legend

Artist, the bigger artist, international artist, now artist 2.0. A boogie with the hoodie has been dropping bangers since 2016 with classics like “Still think about you” and “D.T.B.” The New Yorker now has dropped Artist 2.0 collaborating with other artist like Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Roddy Rich, Lil Nas X and more. The most exciting track on the album to me is “Luv Is Rage” with him and Lil Uzi Vert. This isn’t the first project the two have worked on “Reply” is another with 22 million views. “The Post” gives the album as a collective a ⅗ I give Boogie what he deserves a ⅘. A underrated legend in the making.

Guest in Lil Wayne’s funeral

From escaping death at the age of 12 from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, to top of the charts and billboards. With 26 mixtapes and now 13 albums Dwayne Michael Carter Jr professionally known as Lil Wayne shows us again he isn’t afraid to not only reach and grab the attention of all his fans but gather up other artists to help. With his 13th album funeral the 24 song album features a variety of other artists from Adam Levine to Big Sean and Lil Baby. Wayne continues to amaze with everything he drops. What will he do next?

Grammy Mistakes

The late great Nipsey Hussle was smiling down on us from above Sunday night January 26th. As he was honored at the 2020 Grammy’s with performance from Kirk Franklin, YG, Meek Mill, Roddy Rich, Dj Khaled, and John Legend. other performances where made by Billie Eilish taking home four Grammy’s. Buy her third Grammy for “When we fall asleep where do we go” winning album of the year she shouts the word no multiple times, shhh’s the crowd then goes to say she think Ariana Grande deserves it, even her producer Finneas O’Connell felt confused by the win saying “we didn’t wright a speech because we didn’t make this album to win a Grammy”. Ariana Grande does snag her a Grammy as well. Lizzo who opened up the show with a tribute to late great Kobe Bryant who passed earlier that day also took home a Grammy. Demi Lovato took the stage in her frist live performances since 2018 according to CNN, Tyler The Creator felt half and half about his win during his backstage interview saying on one end he’s great full just to be heard/acknowledge but on the other ends feels like whenever a person of color does something genre bending it’s always put under rapper urban category which he said “And I don’t like that urban word it’s just a politically correct way to say the n-word to me.” Do you feel like these winners deserved their win?
